Publisher review:
Multi-Channel FLV Player offers a unique multi-channel xml system. This player builds on the popular Streaming & Progressive FLV Player 4.x package, offering a unique multi-channel xml system. Simply click a "CHANNEL" button and the player jumps to a different xml playlist. This approach is the most efficient and flexible way to manage a large number of streaming or progressive videos. The simple xml playlists makes it easy to change your video files, titles, and thumbnails without Flash authoring software. Special features of this package include the scrollable thumbnail playlist, hyperlinked videos, progressive and streaming FLV playback, bandwidth profiling, and FlashVars in the embed scripts are used to name the Channel buttons and reference the xml files. If you own Flash MX 2004, 8, or CS3, you can further modify this fully customizable package to meet your specific needs. The Multichannel FLV Player is shown below with all of the Controls and Playlist features enabled. - This package includes all customizable source files and web-ready examples for the Multichannel player shown below, plus the entire Streaming/Progressive 4.1 package - Customers who have already purchased the Streaming/Progressive package should purchase the upgrade option. - This player will play FLV files hosted on most standard web (e.g. Windows and Linux) and Flash Media servers (including many hosting services like Influxis, Akamai, and Vital Stream). - This player utilizes multiple external XML playlists that provide video location, order, title, length, thumbnail location, hyperlink, and streaming server information. Each of the "Channel" buttons on the player references a different XML file. You can easily reference different XML files and change the text that appears on each "Channel" button using the "FlashVars" in the embed scripts. - Package includes one Multichannel player layout in SWF and FLA formats: 400x300 pixel display with playlist (shown below; 4:3 aspect). The published SWF file is ready for immediate use on your website. The FLA file enables you to change the size, color scheme, layout, channel buttons, and functionality of the Multichannel player using Flash MX 2004, 8, or CS3. - This player has built in API / v2 component architecture - A CSS stylesheet is used to control the appearance of all text appearing in the playlist. - This player has an extremely small footprint (63 kb SWF file). - This package also includes all of the Action Script and FLA source codes, which are required to change the core functionality of the integrated components. - Comprehensive support and custom development services are available for this product.
